What we store, and why
Last updated 29 October 2026
ListingDM turns an estate agency's own property listing into a finished social media post. This page says what we keep while doing that, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
What we store
The listing you paste
When you paste a link to one of your listings, we read that page and keep what we need to build the post: the photos, the price, the number of rooms, the floor area, the town, and the text of the listing itself. These come from a page that is already public on your own website.
Your email address
If you ask us to send you the finished post, we store the email address you give us, the link you pasted, the time, and the IP address the request came from. The IP address is kept so we can tell abuse from ordinary use.
Your Instagram account, once you connect one
Not connected yet. ListingDM does not post to Instagram or send direct messages today. That part is waiting on Meta's approval. The section below describes what happens once an agency connects an account, so you can read it before you decide to.
When an agency connects an Instagram account, we store the account's identifier and name, the posts we publish on its behalf, the comments left on those posts, and the direct messages we send in reply. We store a token from Meta that lets us do this. We do not read messages in your inbox that are not replies to a post we made.
What we do not store
- No cookies. The site sets none, for any purpose.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers.
- No payment card details. Payment is not part of the service today.
- No passwords. There are no accounts yet, and when there are, Instagram's own login is used.
Who else sees it
We name them rather than calling them trusted partners.
- Anthropic. The listing's text and photos are sent to Claude, which chooses which photos to use and writes the caption. Each line of that caption has to quote your listing word for word or the post is refused.
- Meta. Once an account is connected, posts and replies go through Instagram, and what we send is handled under Meta's own terms.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers the service sits on.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is handed to anyone else for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
- Listings and the photos taken from them: while you are using the service, and until you ask us to delete them.
- Email addresses from the form: until you ask us to remove yours.
- Posts, comments and replies on a connected account: while the account is connected. Disconnect it and we stop receiving them.
How to ask us to delete your data is a page of its own.
Where it is handled
Ghebrehiwet Ventures AB is a Swedish company and the data controller. The service runs on servers in the European Union. Anthropic and Meta process some of this data outside the EU under their own safeguards for international transfers.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it. Write to the address below and we answer within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data wrongly you can complain to the Swedish authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), imy.se.
Our grounds for processing
- To provide the service you asked for, which covers the listing you paste and the post we build from it.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and free of abuse, which covers the IP address stored with a request.
- Your consent, where you give us an email address so we can send you the finished post. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete it.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we handle data you have already given us, we tell you before it takes effect.
